Views promotes portfolio strategy director
Macclesfield-based residential developer and investor Views has promoted Nick Wiggans to portfolio strategy director, strengthening its group-level leadership as the business continues to grow.
Nick brings 14 years’ experience in the property market and has managed a portfolio of more than 3500 homes with a combined construction value exceeding £581 million.
Reporting to co-chief executives Shujaat Rasool and Shoaib Muhammad, Nick will lead the analysis and underwriting behind Views’ capital allocation across its development and investment activities, assessing new opportunities and monitoring the performance of committed capital.
In his expanded role, Nick will also analyse risk and returns and further develop the systems and processes used to inform investment decisions across the wider business.
Nick said: “Working for a business with strong principles is very important to me, and I’ve been able to leverage my diverse experience in the property sector to good effect in pushing the business towards its goals.
“It has been a pleasure to be part of Views and to see the business grow from an ambitious start-up into an organisation delivering real results with a clear sense of purpose.
“I’m looking forward to working with such a strong team to build on that progress and take the business to the next level.”
Shoaib Muhammad, co-chief executive of Views, added: “Nick’s unique background across investment funds, BTR, conversion and new build projects have all come into play since he joined us and he was the obvious choice for the role.
“It’s very important for us to employ the right people and we like to grow from within, where we can.
“Nick has done the job in all but title for a while now, so formalising it was straightforward.
“His range across investment funds, BTR, conversion and new build gives us a clearer view of where our capital is working and where the market is moving.
“He is also willing to tell us when we are wrong, which is exactly what the role needs.”
