FRP appoints real estate associate director
FRP Real Estate Advisory has appointed Ralph El Achkar as associate director, strengthening its investment finance capability as the division continues to grow.
Ralph brings 18 years’ banking experience, including seven years specialising in lending against UK real estate, alongside earlier experience in retail and corporate lending and trade finance in the Middle East.
He previously worked at National Bank of Kuwait in London, closing debt transactions averaging £10 million, before joining Al Rayan Bank, where he led a team of relationship managers and completed real estate-backed transactions worth more than £15 million.
At FRP, Ralph will focus on funding solutions across property types including residential portfolios, government-let blocks, offices, hotels, serviced apartments and student accommodation.
Ralph said: “What drew me to FRP is the breadth – a full spectrum of advisory and an enviable pool of funders – which means a structure can be built around the asset and the client’s strategy rather than around a single product.
“Deal making is still a relationship business, and this is a team with the reputation and the reach to back that up.”
Ralph’s appointment follows the launch of FRP’s Real Estate Advisory division in May, after the acquisition of property finance specialist Arc & Co. in November 2025, with further service lines planned as the business expands.
Andrew Robinson, partner at FRP Real Estate Advisory, added: “Ralph has spent his career on the other side of the table, and latterly on both sides of the balance sheet – originating deals, then structuring how they were funded and distributed.
“That gives him a clear read on how lenders think and what makes a case credible. Investment is where we are seeing the most movement, particularly outside London, and his arrival strengthens our ability to act on it for clients.”
