Vertu names new Nelson dealership head
Automotive retailer Vertu has appointed Lucy DiClemente as head of business at its Land Rover dealership in Nelson, Lancashire.
Lucy brings more than a decade of automotive experience with the MINI brand and moves from Vertu MINI York, where she was most recently brand manager.
In her new role, she will oversee day-to-day operations at the Lomeshaye Business Park dealership, reporting to James Boyd, who recently became market area general manager for Vertu’s Land Rover sites across the North West.
During her time in York, Lucy was named Sales Manager of the Year at the Vertu Management Awards and helped the dealership secure Best Battery Electric Vehicles Retailer of the Year at the BMW Group UK awards.
Vertu MINI York was also named Regional Retailer of the Year at the awards for two consecutive years.
Lucy said: “I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to take up the role of head of business at such an important dealership within the group.
“This move comes at an exciting time for the dealership, with the arrival of JLR’s first fully electric model on the horizon, and I’m hopeful that my experience working at an award-winning BEV site will prove to be beneficial when the Range Rover Electric hits the showroom later this year.
“It has been a privilege to lead such a talented team at MINI York in recent years, and I’m now looking forward to not only working with my new colleagues at Nelson, but also to developing new relationships with another premium manufacturer.”
Robert Forrester, chief executive of Gateshead-headquartered Vertu Motors, added: “Lucy has played a pivotal role in the success of Vertu MINI York in recent years, and it’s fantastic to see her moving into her new role running Land Rover Nelson.
“She has consistently demonstrated the ability to build high-performing teams, deliver outstanding results and create a positive environment for both customers and colleagues.
“I have no doubt she will drive the dealership forward, and seize this opportunity with both hands.”
