Complii strengthens leadership team with HR promotion
Building safety and regulatory compliance specialist Complii has promoted Julie Thompson to HR director, joining its senior leadership team as the group continues to grow.
Julie steps up from senior HR business partner and brings experience across multinational organisations, including global due diligence, integrations and large-scale organisational change.
Since joining London-headquartered Complii, she has supported the group’s buy-and-build strategy, helping integrate newly acquired businesses and their teams.
In her new role, Julie will lead HR strategy across Complii’s five divisions – water, air, fire, electrical, and lifts and escalators – with responsibility including the people integration of future acquisitions and the development of managers across the group.
Julie said: “I’m delighted to take on this role at such an exciting time for Complii.
“As we continue to welcome new businesses into the group, my focus is on making sure every colleague, wherever they sit across our divisions, feels properly supported, and that our managers have what they need to bring out the best in their teams.
“Growth only means something if our people are genuinely part of it, and that’s what I’m here to make sure happens.”
Julie’s promotion follows the recent appointments of Scott McKay as chief operating officer and Martin Truscott as chief commercial officer, both of whom were also promoted internally as Complii strengthens its leadership team for its next phase of growth.
Sarah Dixon, chief executive of Complii, added: “Julie’s promotion to HR Director is richly deserved, and it continues something I’m very proud of – following Scott McKay’s and Martin Truscott’s recent promotions to chief operating officer and chief commercial officer, this is now the third senior leadership appointment we’ve made from within our own business.
“Since joining Complii, Julie has brought real care and expertise to how we support our people through a period of fast growth, and that matters just as much as any of the numbers behind our expansion.
“As we continue to welcome new businesses into the group, Julie’s leadership on our senior leadership team will be central to making sure every colleague, wherever they sit in Complii, feels genuinely by our side.”
