Care group launches complex care division

A Manchester-based care provider is expanding across the North West with a £500,000 investment in a new specialist service designed to support people with complex needs at home.

Compassionate Care Group has launched a dedicated complex care division with an initial team of six experienced clinicians.

The nurse-led service will support adults, children and young people with conditions and needs including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, Batten disease, brain and spinal injuries and mental health challenges.

Its team will also provide specialist support involving complex medication, ventilators and tracheostomies, helping people receive personalised care in their own homes while easing pressure on NHS services.

Operating initially across the North West from the group’s Manchester headquarters, the division is already developing relationships with health authorities and NHS case managers across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire.

Bosses plan to grow the service steadily over the next three to five years before expanding nationally as demand increases.

Investment will also support training and development to ensure staff have the specialist skills and accreditations required.

The new division adds to Compassionate Care Group’s existing services, which include supported living, homecare, mental health provision, emergency accommodation, respite care and specialist support for children.
