Inco expands north of border with Glasgow base

A refurbishment and fit-out specialist is building its presence in Scotland with the opening of a new regional office near Glasgow.

Inco Contracts has established a permanent base at New Alderston House on Strathclyde Business Park to support a growing pipeline of projects and clients north of the border.

The expansion follows the completion of a major heritage refurbishment at Glasgow’s 95 Bothwell Street, pictured below, a landmark building which has featured in Spider-Man and Indiana Jones films.

Work included specialist repairs and restoration to stonework, ornate cornices, balcony steelwork and roof parapets.

Inco has also secured a new industrial refurbishment project in Blantyre, further strengthening its Scottish workload.

The new office will be led by Gerry Meade, who has more than 25 years’ experience delivering refurbishment and fit-out schemes across the UK, Europe and Middle East.

Gerry said: “I’m incredibly proud to lead our expansion into Scotland and shape our presence here.

“Having a permanent base near Glasgow gives us the opportunity to be closer to our clients, better understand the local market and deliver the collaborative service that has underpinned Inco’s success elsewhere in the UK.

“My focus now is on building a strong team and supply chain here in Scotland, developing long-term client relationships and establishing Inco as a trusted contractor across the region. 

“We’ve got ambitious plans and I’m excited to build on the momentum we already have.”

Headquartered in Cannock, Inco also operates regional offices in Warrington, Stevenage and Cardiff.

The principal contractor works across sectors including industrial refurbishment, building services, heritage and conservation, with the Glasgow opening supporting its continued UK expansion.
