Ice and easy as Warriors renew Fuse partnership

Whitley Warriors will start the new season backed by a familiar name in North East property management after icing a fresh deal with long-term supporters Fuse.

Fuse focuses on connectivity, managed IT and security to deliver a full-circle solution to landlords and their tenants.

And the firm’s decision to reaffirm its support for the Warriors aligns with an ongoing commitment to community sport.

“Fuse has thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Warriors family so far and we’re proud to see our boards around the Hillheads rink,” said Managing Director Jamie Mableson.

“That will continue into the new campaign but we’re also excited to be a shirt sponsor for the 2026/27 season.

“That first league game against North Ayrshire Wild can’t come soon enough — we saw the design for the new jerseys some time ago and the players will look a class apart.

“As a Newcastle-based business we have a strong track record when it comes to supporting clubs and communities across the North East.

“The Warriors tick so many boxes when it comes to engaging with their fans and doing great work in the local area.

“We share the same ethos and the same ambition and that’s why it was a no-brainer to step up our support of Tony Hand and the guys.”

Jamie is a regular at Hillheads on and off the ice and played ice hockey prior to sponsoring the Warriors.

He makes no secret of his love the for the sport and the North Tyneside-based businessman is a vocal supporter of his local club.

“I learnt to skate via the adult skating for ice hockey classes run by ex-Warriors captain Shaun ‘Skippy’ Kippin and Robbie Pamphilon,” added Jamie.

“By then I was hooked and sponsoring the Warriors was the natural step.

“It’s been a memorable journey so far and I love bringing friends and family down to Hillheads to enjoy what I believe to be one of the best evenings out in the North East.

“This region has always been a hotbed for hockey and what the Warriors are doing under General Manager Willie Dunn and Tony is cementing that legacy.”

Whitley return to competitive action on September 6 when the Wild head south of the border for a 5pm start.

The club finished third in last season’s Scottish National League and progressed to the Scottish Cup final.
