S&W continues investment in business tax practice with Partner appointment

S&W, the fast-growing professional services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Hari (Harinder) Soor as a Partner in the business tax team, based in London. The appointment further strengthens the firm's specialist business tax offering and reflects its focus on expanding expertise in key areas of client demand.

Hari is a capital allowances and tax incentives specialist with more than 25 years' experience advising businesses on major capital projects across sectors including infrastructure, real estate, construction, energy and transport.

He joins S&W from Alvarez & Marsal, where he advised clients on tax-efficient investment in real assets and infrastructure. Prior to that he spent more than two decades at KPMG, where he led the UK capital allowances practice and served as an Equity Partner.

At S&W, Hari will play a key role in supporting businesses undertaking significant capital projects, providing specialist advice on capital allowances, tax depreciation and related incentives. His appointment further enhances the firm's ability to deliver commercially focused tax solutions to mid-market, private equity-backed and large corporate clients.

Hari Soor, Partner, business tax, S&W, said: “I’m delighted to be joining S&W at such an exciting stage in its growth. As businesses continue to invest in their operations and expansion plans, access to specialist advice on capital allowances and tax incentives is becoming increasingly important.

“S&W has a strong reputation for delivering practical, commercially focused advice, and I look forward to working with colleagues across the firm to help clients maximise the value of their investments and achieve their growth ambitions.”

Mark Webb, Head of Business Tax at S&W, added: “Hari’s appointment reflects our continued investment in strengthening and broadening our business tax capabilities.

“Hari brings extensive experience advising businesses on investment-related tax incentives and complex capital projects, making him a valuable addition to our growing team. His expertise will further enhance our ability to support clients as they navigate increasingly complex tax legislation and investment decisions.”
