AskRose appoints credit control manager
Altrincham-headquartered pension reclaim specialist AskRose has appointed Andrew McGovern as credit control manager, bringing 16 years’ industry experience to the role.
Andrew will lead support for clients from the approval of their claims through to payment, with his team responsible for helping ensure pension repayments are received promptly and are correct.
He joins from JLA, where he progressed from credit controller to credit control project manager and led a team collecting between £10 million and £15 million each month.
Andrew previously worked in collections at the Co-operative Bank and has extensive experience supporting vulnerable individuals.
He said: “Joining AskRose gave me an opportunity I may never have again – to build a credit control function completely from scratch.
“Knowing that the work directly helps people finally receive money they’re owed, often after years of waiting, is what makes it feel worthwhile.
“In the short time I’ve been here, I’ve been struck by the strength of the team and the sense of purpose behind the work.
“It’s a genuinely exciting challenge, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.”
AskRose supports women affected by Home Responsibilities Protection and other state pension entitlement discrepancies, helping them navigate HMRC and Department for Work and Pensions correction processes.
Elaine Walker, director at AskRose director, added: “It was important to us that someone with genuine experience of working with vulnerable people took on this role.
“Andrew’s track record and ability give us real confidence that clients will be looked after properly right through to receiving their money.
“At AskRose, Andrew will build the business's operations function from the ground up as the business continues to scale support for individuals potentially affected by underpayments linked to Home Responsibilities Protection (HRP), a scheme designed to protect the state pension rights of parents and carers.
“We are investing heavily in the team and infrastructure at AskRose in coming weeks so we are in the best possible position to help more clients reclaim the pension payments that they are legally entitled to.”
