G F Tomlinson appoints business development manager

Midlands contractor G F Tomlinson has appointed Glenn Slater as business development manager to support its growth across the Midlands and South Yorkshire.

Glenn brings 31 years’ experience in construction industry business development, with particular expertise in public sector frameworks.

In his new role, he will focus on generating new business and promoting the contractor’s public sector framework capabilities, while developing relationships with new and existing clients.

He will work alongside head of business development Les Needham and support teams across the wider business as G F Tomlinson pursues further growth opportunities.

Glenn is also a committee member for the Forum for the Built Environment East Midlands and holds qualifications spanning marketing, management and sustainable leadership.

Glenn said: “I have always thoroughly enjoyed working with construction businesses to positively contribute to their growth and development. 

“I am pleased to be given the opportunity to continue this passion with G F Tomlinson working alongside Les Needham and building our presence across the Midlands and South Yorkshire.

“I’m looking forward to using my decades of experience in this industry to bring a fresh perspective to a long-established business, contributing to the company’s ongoing success.”
