Housebuilder kits out young footballers

Young footballers in West Yorkshire have scored a fresh look after a housebuilder stepped up to sponsor their new kit.

Lovell has sponsored the under-13 players at Skelmanthorpe United Junior Football Club, providing the team with a new football kit for the season.

Phil Whitney, coach at Skelmanthorpe United Junior Football Club and Garrett Grove resident, said: “The boys are absolutely buzzing with their new kits and can’t wait to step onto the pitch this season. 

“Support from local businesses is the lifeblood of grassroots clubs like ours, so a massive thank you to Lovell for sponsoring us.”

The support comes as the national housing specialist delivers its Garrett Grove development in Skelmanthorpe, comprising a range of three and four-bedroom homes.

Located in the West Yorkshire village, the development sits close to local shops, restaurants and community facilities.

Garrett Grove also has transport links to surrounding towns and cities, with the M1 around 15 minutes away and nearby Denby Dale railway station providing connections towards Huddersfield, Sheffield and Barnsley.
