GT3 marks milestone with brand refresh

A national architecture and design practice has unveiled a new identity as it celebrates its tenth anniversary and prepares for its next phase of growth.

GT3, which has studios in Newcastle, Nottingham, London and Belfast, has dropped ‘Architects’ from its name to better reflect its expanded expertise across architecture, interiors and consultancy.

Founded in 2016, the practice has grown into a multi-skilled national team working across sports and leisure, workplace, residential and hospitality projects in the UK and internationally.

The refreshed brand is accompanied by a new website showcasing GT3’s services, projects and its ‘People Architecture’ philosophy, which places the needs of clients, communities, operators and users at the centre of the design process.

It also places greater emphasis on the commercial and social outcomes of projects, including operational performance, long-term value and the creation of healthier and better-connected communities.

GT3 says its underlying approach remains unchanged, with the new identity designed to provide a stronger platform for its second decade.

The practice will continue supporting clients from early strategy and briefing through design and delivery to post-occupancy evaluation as it builds on ten years of growth.

Simon Dunstan, co-founder and director at GT3, said: “Our tenth year felt like the right moment to look at how GT3 presents itself and make sure our identity reflects the practice we are today.

“We’ve grown significantly over the past decade, not only in terms of our people and geographical reach, but in the way we support our clients.

“Architecture remains fundamental to what we do, but our interiors and consultancy expertise has developed considerably, and those skills increasingly work together to help clients make better decisions and achieve stronger outcomes.

“Becoming GT3 gives us a much clearer way to communicate that breadth while keeping the philosophy that has guided us from the beginning firmly at the centre of the practice: People Architecture.”

Mark Gowdridge, co-founder and director at GT3, added: “The places we design have always reflected who we are as a practice, and this refresh means our identity now does too.

“For us, good design goes beyond creating a great building or interior. It starts with understanding what success really looks like for the client and the people who will ultimately use that place.

“That means thinking about commercial viability, operational performance and long-term value alongside wellbeing, inclusivity and social impact.

“We don’t see those as competing priorities.

“The strongest projects deliver both, and our refreshed brand and website give us a much better platform to communicate that.”
