Carter Towler completes major office letting at landmark Leeds building
Leading independent property consultancy Carter Towler has secured a significant new office letting at Goodbard House in Leeds city centre, with media specialist Iconic Media Group committing to 4,192 sq ft of Grade A office space.
The letting follows Carter Towler's appointment in May 2026 by Rushbond Plc, alongside joint letting agent CBRE, to market the prominent office building on Infirmary Street. The deal sees Iconic Media Group take the entire second floor at Goodbard House.
Occupying a prominent position in the heart of Leeds' traditional office core, Goodbard House combines a striking Grade II listed façade with contemporary office accommodation that has been comprehensively refurbished to provide Grade A workspace. Recent improvements include upgraded common parts, together with new toilets and shower facilities on each floor, creating a modern working environment while retaining the building's historic character.
Tom Newstead, of Carter Towler's agency team, said: "Completing this letting within weeks of our appointment is a fantastic result and reflects the continued demand for high-quality office space in prime Leeds city centre locations particularly where occupiers can benefit from a combination of character, excellent amenities and outstanding connectivity.
"Goodbard House is one of Leeds' most prominent office buildings, offering businesses a prestigious address in the heart of the city's established commercial district, just minutes from Leeds station. With only one remaining 3,900 sq ft suite available on the fourth floor, we believe it presents an excellent opportunity for professional services, IT or marketing businesses looking to secure high-quality office space in an exceptional city centre location."
Iconic Media Group has taken the space as part of its continued growth strategy across the North. The business owns the Yorkshire Post and leading regional newspapers across the country. It delivers integrated media solutions spanning traditional print news media, magazines, digital media, inserts and unaddressed mail, reaching more than 15 million print readers and 35 million digital users every month across the UK.
In addition to media planning expertise and extensive media access, the company also provides creative services, print production and logistics support. Its client portfolio includes major publishing groups alongside leading national brands including Macmillan Cancer Support, TalkTalk, Costa, British Gas, Asda, Aldi, Lidl, RAC, Domino's Pizza, Taylor Wimpey, Whitbread, B&Q and KFC.
Carter Towler is jointly marketing the remaining office suite at Goodbard House with CBRE on behalf of Rushbond Plc.
Established more than 75 years ago, Carter Towler employs 60 people across offices in Leeds, York and Durham. The firm is recognised as one of the North's most active commercial property consultancies, completing more than 350 commercial, industrial and investment transactions in the past year while managing thousands of commercial tenancies across the UK.
