Hedley Planning welcomes graduate trio

North East planning consultancy Hedley Planning has welcomed three graduates to its team as the company continues to grow across the region.

Sophie Harrison has joined the firm’s Hexham office as a graduate town planner after completing her degree at Newcastle University.

She will work across a range of projects and support the firm’s senior team in preparing planning applications and statements for residential and commercial clients.

Lizzie Brown and Jessica Mackie have also joined as planners for year-out placements, based at the Hexham and Newcastle offices respectively.

Both have previous experience with North East planning consultancies, providing an early grounding in the planning application and decision-making process.

The appointments follow Hedley Planning’s recent move to larger premises at Tanners Burn House in Hexham, which has doubled its office capacity as it responds to growing demand.

The consultancy says its expansion is being supported by changes to national planning policy, continued activity in the housing and property markets and a pipeline of regeneration projects.
