Cash and ATM firm finds ‘perfect base’ for growth
A cash management and ATM services provider has tripled its Hartlepool office space as it prepares for further recruitment and growth.
Pivotal Sec Plus, an independent provider of cash management and ATM services, has expanded its base at UKSE’s Innovation Centre on Queens Meadow Business Park.
The £100 million business provides cash and valuables-in-transit services and cash processing, as well as operating an estate of ATMs across the UK and Ireland.
Its customers range from independent shops to larger retailers and financial institutions.
The company previously operated from a smaller office at the Hartlepool centre, housing staff responsible for administration and customer relations.
However, its acquisition of Security Plus + Limited in October 2024 more than doubled the size of the business and expanded its operations across the UK.
The subsequent growth has increased the demands on its Hartlepool team, which supports operations across the UK and Northern Ireland, prompting the move into office space three times the size of its previous base.
Julieanne Crawford, the company’s head of customer service, said: “Our new, larger office in UKSE’s Innovation Centre provides the perfect base for us.
“It is close to main roads connecting the whole of the North East and beyond and it also provides us with high-quality offices and facilities.
“The Hartlepool office is crucial to our business, as it houses our customer service and sales team, which had been growing rapidly since the acquisition in 2024, so it is fantastic that we have been able to increase our footprint at the Innovation Centre.”
The expansion comes as Pivotal Sec Plus looks to create further employment opportunities, pursue additional acquisitions and grow its operations internationally.
Julieanne added: “We are continuously looking to grow - and Pivotal Sec Plus is currently recruiting more sales and customer service staff in Hartlepool, who are the hub of the business.”
UKSE, which is marking its 50th year, provides business premises alongside financial support for growing companies.
Sarah Thorpe, regional manager for the North at UKSE, the Tata Steel business support subsidiary, added: “We congratulate Pivotal Sec Plus on the move to bigger premises within our Hartlepool innovation Centre, which reflects their growth and ambition and our ability to meet the needs of growing businesses with the facilities we offer.
“It is always pleasing to see the firms working within our offices grow and do well and we will look forward to welcoming some more new staff joining Pivotal Sec Plus in Hartlepool in the near future.
“Our offices in Hartlepool, as well as Kirkleatham in Redcar, provide high quality spaces for businesses of all sizes to be based – places where they can grow and flourish – and we are very proud of these facilities and their role in supporting the local economy.”
