Accountancy group grows footprint with latest deal

A growing accountancy group has strengthened its presence in the South East with the acquisition of a North London practice.

bk plus has bought Barnet-based chartered accountancy firm Joshua Leigh & Co as it continues a wider expansion strategy across the UK.

Led by Joshua Finn, the eponymously named practice provides services including accounts preparation, audit and assurance, personal tax, VAT, bookkeeping, payroll and company secretarial support.

Its clients include owner-managed businesses, limited companies, partnerships and private individuals across North London and surrounding areas.

Following the deal, Joshua and the existing team will remain at the Barnet office, with clients retaining their current points of contact while gaining access to additional specialist services available through bk plus.

Joshua said: “Joining bk plus represents a positive step for both our clients and our team. 

“Clients will continue to receive the same high standard of personal, responsive service they have always had from us.

“We have always focused on building long-term relationships and delivering practical advice, and that will remain unchanged.

The acquisition follows a series of deals during 2026 that have expanded bk plus’ footprint across England, Scotland and Wales.

bk plus now operates from more than 60 offices across the UK, employing over 1000 people and supporting thousands of SMEs and owner-managed businesses with accountancy, tax and advisory services.

The Barnet acquisition forms part of its strategy to grow nationally while retaining the local teams and relationships of the practices joining the group.
