Vet group fetches jobs in £400,000 practice move
A veterinary group is set for a £400,000 expansion.
Harrison Family Vets is opening a base in Darlington.
Bosses say the 2500sq ft site – on the railway town’s Faverdale Retail Park – will create six jobs.
Slated to open in October, they add the venture will provide services including consultations, surgery and dental procedures.
The expansion comes after the family-owned business opened a practice in Newcastle’s Callerton area earlier this year.
It will add to existing bases in Doncaster, Kingswinford, Leeds, Manchester, Middlesbrough, Reading, Sheffield, Stoke and Wigan.
Tim Harrison, managing director, said: “We’re excited to expand into Darlington, which we see as a key location.
“We plan to open in more areas next year, which will create further opportunities for talented and ambitious clinic directors, vets, nurses and care coordinators.”
