Accountancy firm grows with 'exciting' acquisition

An accountancy and business advisory firm has expanded with a takeover.

HW Fisher has bought Fisher Phillips.

Officials say the move for the London-based accountant will “bolster its presence” in the capital and help clients “access broader advice and support”.

Under the terms of the deal, Steve Frost, Caroline Harvey, Anthony Ornstein and Michael Sparrow have joined HW Fisher as partners, with Fisher Phillips adopting the HW Fisher brand.

Founded in 1946, Fisher Phillips’ client portfolio includes authors, entertainers, professional practices and property companies.

Andrew Rich, managing partner at London-based HW Fisher, which operates within the national Sumer Group, said: “I am delighted to welcome Steve, Caroline, Anthony, Michael and the wider Fisher Phillips team.

“They are a natural fit, bringing complementary sector specialisms and deep service strengths that enhance and elevate the scope of business solutions we offer to clients.”

The agreement comes after Sumer Group company Carpenter Box revealed a Southampton office expansion, and its RMT Accountants & Business Advisors arm strengthened its Durham base with three new recruits.
