Nexus HE appoints strategy head

Medical education provider Nexus Healthcare Education (Nexus HE) has appointed Katy Radburn-Smith as head of educational strategy and growth as it targets further international expansion.

Katy brings more than 20 years of experience across academia and biotech, alongside more than a decade working in medical communications.

Her experience includes delivering medical education and commercial programmes across a range of therapy areas.

In her new role, she will help shape Nexus HE’s educational strategy and programme development, with a focus on creating accessible, outcomes-driven learning experiences for healthcare professionals.

Katy said: “Nexus HE has built a genuine reputation for translating complex science into education that changes clinical practice, and that's exactly the kind of business I want to be part of. 

“Having spent my career at in academia, biotech and medical communications, I've seen first-hand how the right educational experience can shift outcomes for both healthcare professionals and the patients they treat. 

“As such, I’m looking forward to working with the team, key partners and faculty to shape a new educational strategy that broadens reach and delivers tangible outcomes on an international scale.”

Katy’s appointment comes as the business looks to expand its presence across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

Established in January 2024, Nexus HE specialises in translating complex scientific data and emerging clinical research into practical medical education programmes.

The company works with pharmaceutical businesses, medical societies and other healthcare organisations to develop programmes aimed at advancing medical knowledge and supporting changes in clinical practice.

Katy’s appointment adds further experience to the business as it looks to broaden the scale and reach of its programmes globally.
