Surveying firm charts growth with new office

A surveying firm is plotting growth with an office expansion.

Academy Geomatics has opened a Warrington base.

Bosses say the site “marks the next phase in the company's development after more than 30 years of delivering multi-disciplinary surveying services across the UK”.

They add the office – which will complement the business’ Gateshead headquarters – will help meet demand across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cumbria, North Wales and Staffordshire.

Anthony Lawton, director at the business, whose services include underground utility mapping and measured building and topographical surveys, said: “This office shows just how much the business has grown.

“We already carry out a great deal of work across the North West; having a permanent base here is the next logical step that allows us to be closer to clients and projects.

“Looking ahead over the next three to five years, we want to continue growing without losing what makes us different.

“That means expanding our coverage, investing in our people, taking on increasingly complex projects and continuing to invest in the latest technology.

“Warrington is a key part of that vision and provides a strong platform for our long-term growth across the North West.”
