NET magazine publisher NET’s headline investment campaign VISION 31 is returning to London. Building on successful 2026 summits in Newcastle and County Durham, VISION 31 will once again highlight the North East’s innovative spirit, thriving commercial sectors and investment potential to the City in November. Here, NET editor-in-chief Steven Hugill reveals more about the campaign’s third visit to the capital and how it will illuminate the North East’s dynamic business landscape, connect investors with ambitious companies and reinforce the region’s status as a leading destination for growth and opportunity.

NET’s flagship investment campaign is heading back to the City of London.

VISION 31 will take place in the capital in November.

Building on two hugely successful previous London summits – and following recent events at Northumbria University and Sedgefield’s NETPark – the event will illuminate the North East’s role at the forefront of moves to deliver tomorrow’s world today.

Once again set for Aon’s striking Leadenhall Building headquarters in the heart of the City’s financial district, VISION 31 will highlight how the North East is redefining itself and boldly stepping into a brighter future.

The event will feature founders and business leaders whose ventures have flourished from the North East, while also showcasing the region’s plentiful investable qualities to senior City figures and investment houses.

It will also highlight the North East mayoral-led regeneration bodies driving watershed economic and social change, the region’s ground-breaking manufacturers, pioneering green energy and digital moves, its headline cultural developments, pulsing healthcare and life sciences ecosystem and its flourishing professional services landscape.

VISION 31 was conceived in the immediate post-pandemic period by NET alongside Newcastle and Sunderland-based investment house Northstar Ventures to bolster investment into the region, with several initial roundtable discussions helping create a blueprint for change.

“VISION 31 is all about highlighting the North East’s enormous potential and the bold businesses driving its growth”

John Duns, NET business development director, says: “We’re delighted to be returning to London with our VISION 31 campaign for another year.

“VISION 31 is all about highlighting the North East’s enormous potential and the bold businesses driving its growth.

“The North East has arguably never been more dynamic, and VISION 31 gives senior figures a front-row seat to the innovation, ambition and resilience that defines our region.

“From trailblazing manufacturers to leading digital and green energy initiatives, the North East is bursting with opportunity, and we’re excited to build on that momentum and demonstrate to investors why the region is worth backing.

“We’re hard at work planning this year’s event to make it the best yet – watch this space.”

Pete Mallon, NET creative and managing director, adds: “VISION 31 was created to change perceptions of the North East and ensure the region’s success stories are being heard where they matter most.

“Each event has built on the last, creating new connections between the North East’s business community and the investors, organisations and decision-makers who can help accelerate growth.

“VISION 31 was created to change perceptions of the North East and ensure the region’s success stories are being heard where they matter most”

“Returning to London provides another opportunity to reinforce the message that this is a region with the talent, innovation and leadership to compete on the biggest stage.

“We’re delighted to be taking VISION 31 back to the City.”

NET is proudly working with a number of North East organisations to deliver VISION 31, which include Aon, Community Foundation North East, Lloyds Banking Group, Northumbria University, Raymond James Monument and Wubbleyou.
