Housebuilder completes 25-home Bude scheme
A Cornish housebuilder has completed construction of a 25-home coastal development, with just three properties remaining for sale.
Newquay-based Legacy Properties has finished work at Upton Green, on the edge of Bude, following strong demand for the scheme.
The development, located around 500 metres from the North Cornwall coastline, features a mix of open-market and affordable homes, with the latter delivered in partnership with Westward Housing to support local housing need.
The remaining properties are four and five-bedroom detached homes, with prices starting from £525,000 and including garages and private parking.
Homes at Upton Green have been designed with energy efficiency in mind, achieving EPC-A ratings and featuring solar panels, air-source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points.
The development also provides direct footpath access to Bude town centre and its beaches, with residents able to follow the canal route or coastal path into town.
Mark Docherty, sales director at Legacy Properties, said: “Completing Upton Green is another proud milestone for Legacy, with the development also marking the delivery of our 250th home in Cornwall.
“It has been incredibly popular from the outset, with more than half of the open-market homes reserved within weeks of launch.
“We’re now down to the final three houses.
“The location has been a huge part of its appeal.
“Being able to leave your front door and walk directly down the coastal path and into Bude is pretty special, but buyers also want a home that works for everyday family life.
“Upton Green brings those things together, with generous living spaces, energy efficiency and the high specification people have come to expect from Legacy.”
Established in 2010, family-owned Legacy Properties has delivered more than 250 homes across Cornwall.
Alongside Upton Green, the company has developments in Par, Pentewan Valley, Trispen and Goonhavern, with more than 200 additional homes in its pipeline over the next three years.
