Baines Jewitt strengthens accounts team

Stockton-based chartered accountancy firm Baines Jewitt has appointed Ashleigh Murphy as accounts senior, marking its third senior appointment in recent months.

Ashleigh brings more than 18 years of accountancy experience, having worked with clients across a range of sectors during her career.

She began her career as a trainee before progressing through the profession and becoming a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in 2015.

Ashleigh said: “Many larger accountancy practices have become process-driven, instead of really getting to know clients and putting them at the heart of the service they provide.

“What attracted me to a job at Baines Jewitt was the more personal approach. 

“Whether preparing accounts and corporation tax returns for sole traders, start-up companies, family firms, small and medium-sized enterprises or large corporate businesses with several hundred employees, we want our clients to succeed and see ourselves as an extension of their teams.”

Ashleigh’s arrival adds further experience to Baines Jewitt’s accounts team as the Teesside practice continues to invest in its senior expertise.

The appointment follows two other senior additions in recent months, supporting the firm as it develops its team and services for businesses across the region.
