Event security firm scores Hull City stadium contract

An event security firm is celebrating after scoring a football deal.

Active Security Solutions North Yorkshire has secured a three-year partnership with Hull City.

Officials say the agreement will create around 100 matchday roles at the Tigers’ near 25,000-capacity MKM Stadium.

Under the terms of the deal, spectator safety stewards, supervisors and SIA-licensed security personnel will patrol the ground to manage crowd movement, incident response and supporter, player and staff safety.

James Chaperlin, managing director at the Scarborough-based firm, said: “This is a proud moment for our business and a significant step in our continued growth across Yorkshire.

“We already have strong roots in Hull through our work with Hull Kingston Rovers and Pride in Hull. 

“This latest appointment allows us to create more than 100 local roles while continuing to invest in training and progression across spectator safety and security.”

“Their local presence and understanding of large-scale sporting events will be valuable as we continue to provide a welcoming environment for supporters.”
