Digital Space promotes sales chief
Newark-based managed service provider Digital Space has promoted Wendy Broughton to chief sales officer as it accelerates its next phase of growth.
Wendy joined the business in 2023 to lead its corporate sales team and has since helped reshape the sales function, strengthening its structure, processes and capabilities.
During the past year, Digital Space has doubled the size of its sales team and created a dedicated new business function, alongside strengthening links across account management, business development, marketing, product and technology sales.
She brings extensive technology sales and leadership experience, having previously led enterprise sales at Apple reseller Jigsaw24, where she helped shift its focus towards services and solutions-led selling.
Earlier in her career, Wendy held senior sales roles at Daisy Corporate Services.
In her new role, she will continue to lead Digital Space’s sales function, with a focus on securing new customers and supporting the company’s wider growth strategy.
Wendy said: “I’m incredibly proud of what the team has achieved over the last few years.
“We’ve made some important changes, all focused on creating the right environment for our people to succeed and making sure we can deliver for our customers as we grow.
“We now have a strong sales organisation, a dedicated new business capability and a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
“My priority is to build on that momentum, winning new customers, growing those relationships over the long term and creating opportunities for our people to progress.
“Being part of the executive board has also given me a much broader view of the business.
“I want to use that perspective to make an impact beyond sales, while continuing to build a team where people can develop rewarding careers.”
Stewart Holness, executive chairman of Digital Space, added: “Wendy has made a significant impact on Digital Space since joining us.
“She has brought clarity, energy and commercial discipline to our sales organisation, while building the team and structure we need to deliver our growth ambitions.
“This appointment recognises what Wendy has already achieved and the role she will play in the next stage of Digital Space’s growth.
“She is an important voice on our executive board, with a strong understanding of our customers, our people and where we can unlock further opportunities.”
