MSP Capital appoints Midlands lead
Property finance specialist MSP Capital has appointed Tom Edmunds as lead business development manager for the Midlands as it continues to expand its geographical reach.
Tom brings more than ten years’ experience in bridging and development finance, working with brokers, developers, investors and project partners across a range of transactions.
He joins from Shawbrook Bank, where he was relationship director supporting property professionals with funding requirements for development projects.
His professional experience is complemented by his own background as a property investor, which has included refurbishment projects, property flips and commercial property deals.
In his new role, Tom will focus on growing MSP Capital’s presence in the Midlands while strengthening relationships with mortgage brokers and intermediaries.
His arrival follows the appointment earlier this year of business development manager Michael Halsey, who is supporting the lender’s growth across London and parts of the South East.
Tom said: “My background has been all about experiencing the challenges, opportunities and decisions involved in property investment first-hand.
“This has given me a genuine appreciation of the importance of having the right funding partner and the right support throughout the journey.
“That’s one of the reasons I’m joining MSP Capital.
“The business has built an excellent reputation for taking a relationship-led approach and providing flexible bridging and development finance solutions that help clients achieve their goals.
“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with existing contacts, building new relationships across the Midlands, and working alongside brokers, developers and investors to support their ambitions.
“I’m excited to be part of the MSP Capital team, sourcing opportunities, promoting our lending products, and assisting the underwriting team to ensure deals progress efficiently through to completion.”
Adam Tovey, commercial director at MSP Capital, added: “Tom’s appointment is an important step as we continue to evolve the business and build our presence across more core regions of the UK.
“The Midlands is a hugely important property market, with a diverse range of developers, investors and businesses who require flexible, relationship-led finance.
“Tom brings a wealth of experience, strong relationships and a genuine understanding of property from both the lending and investment perspectives.
“We want to work more closely with brokers and intermediaries on a national basis, while continuing to build the strong relationships that have always been at the heart of MSP Capital.
“Expanding our geography and strengthening our team in key regions such as the Midlands will help us do that.
“Ultimately, it’s about continuing to evolve and grow, and making MSP Capital an even stronger partner for our customers in the years ahead.”
