Navigate Commercial Finance promotes development director
Birmingham-based commercial finance broker Navigate Commercial Finance has promoted Adam Cooksley to business development director as it continues its growth.
Adam has 15 years’ experience supporting SMEs across a range of industries and will continue to build relationships with businesses, professional advisers and lenders across the Midlands.
He was also recognised for his contribution to the regional business community with a business development award in 2025.
Adam said: “It’s great to be part of Navigate Commercial Finance’s continued growth and my promotion forms the next step of my career progression.
“I enjoy working with SMEs and finding them the most appropriate finance to support their ambitions.
“By expanding our reach and helping more SMEs unlock the vital funding they need to thrive, we are empowering businesses across the region to overcome financial barriers and achieve their true potential.”
Adam’s promotion comes during a year in which Navigate has marked its fifth anniversary and appointed Ben Hayward to its board as commercial director.
Founded by managing director Paul Varley in 2021, the business has secured more than £100 million in funding for over 200 companies, supporting requirements including growth, refinancing and working capital.
Navigate works with SMEs and professional advisers to provide funding solutions spanning invoice finance, asset-based lending, cashflow loans, revolving credit facilities, asset finance and real estate finance.
Paul added: “Adam’s promotion recognises his contribution to Navigate Commercial Finance, having made such an impact on the business and in the Coventry and Warwickshire region since joining four years ago.
“He has played an important role in our success.
“As our company expands, I want our team members to grow alongside us.
“That means giving them increased responsibility, supporting their growth, and helping them build long-term careers.
“We’ve established a fantastic reputation and have plans to keep growing, making this an incredibly exciting chapter for both the business and everyone on the team.”
