Owl Group appoints new chief financial officer
Midlands housebuilder Owl Group has appointed Steve Breslin as group chief financial officer to support its continued growth across the region.
Steve joins the leadership team with responsibility for the group’s financial strategy, working across its Owl Homes and Owl Partnerships brands.
He brings more than 20 years’ industry experience, having held senior finance roles at Taylor Wimpey and Galliford Try Partnerships.
Most recently, Steve worked at Lovell Partnerships, where he was a member of the main board.
In his new role, he will work closely with West Midlands managing director Paul Breen and East Midlands managing director Mike Kelly as Owl looks to build on its recent expansion and growing pipeline of land opportunities.
Steve said: “This is an exciting opportunity to join an established business with ambitious plans.
“Owl’s growth over the past year has been impressive, and it has built a strong pipeline of land opportunities to keep that momentum going.
“The Group has a talented team in place and there’s a real sense of energy around the business.
“Working closely with our two regional managing directors, Paul Breen (West Midlands) and Mike Kelly (East Midlands), I’m looking forward to building on what has already been achieved and helping shape the next phase of growth.”
Steve’s appointment forms part of Owl Group’s plans to strengthen its financial and commercial capabilities as it targets further growth across the Midlands.
Amanda Bishop, group growth director at Owl Group, added: “Bringing someone of Steve’s calibre into the business is an important step forward.
“We’ve grown considerably over recent years, but we’re also very clear that there is much more we want to achieve.
“Steve has operated at the highest level within our industry and brings the financial and commercial partnerships experience we need as we move into that next stage.
“His appointment reflects both the scale of our ambitions, and the business Owl is becoming.
“We are delighted to welcome Steve to the Group and are confident about what we can achieve together.”
