Trust Alliance Group names new chief executive
Cheshire-headquartered consumer redress organisation Trust Alliance Group has appointed Ed Dodman as chief executive.
Ed has been with the organisation since 2019 and steps into the role following a career spanning strategy, regulation and operations within major UK regulated businesses.
More recently, he served as chief ombudsman for the Energy Ombudsman and Communications Ombudsman businesses, where he led work with Government and other stakeholders to transform how consumers access redress in the energy sector.
Ed said: “I am honoured to be given the opportunity to lead such an amazing organisation.
“We have a strong and important purpose, and I am inspired each day by how our colleagues make a difference to those who use our services.
“My team and I will continue to focus on listening to colleagues, consumers and to our wider stakeholders to drive better outcomes and build trust and confidence across our markets.”
Based near Warrington, Trust Alliance Group operates the Energy Ombudsman and Communications Ombudsman schemes, as well as the Parking on Private Land Appeals service, known as POPLA.
The group has also recently established the Online Responsibility Network, which supports organisations navigating online safety requirements.
Paul Hewitt, chair of Trust Alliance Group, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Ed as our next chief executive.
“Following a rigorous and comprehensive search process, we looked for a leader with deep industry expertise and a proven ability to drive the business forward.
“The board is highly confident that Ed is the right leader to guide TAG through its next phase of growth.
“He brings a wealth of experience in the business and a deep understanding of our markets which will be invaluable as we continue to accelerate the development of the Group.
“We look forward to continuing to work closely with Ed and his senior leadership team.”
