UHY Hacker Young strengthens Nottingham team

Nottingham-based accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young has appointed two senior figures to strengthen its audit and accounting and business services teams.

Jayne Fotheringham joins as audit partner, while Colin Radmore has been appointed accounting and business services manager, with the former colleagues bringing experience across business advisory and client relationship management.

Jayne joins following a 16-year career with Cooper Parry, where she advised businesses across a range of sectors and led client teams.

She has also previously worked alongside UHY Nottingham managing partner Andrew Timms.

Jayne said: “I'm delighted to have joined UHY Nottingham. 

“UHY has a strong reputation in the market, and from my first conversations with the team I loved how down to earth and approachable everyone was. 

“As someone who has lived and worked in the East Midlands throughout my career, joining UHY Nottingham feels like a great fit. 

“Having spent many years working with owner-managed and private equity-backed businesses, I'm looking forward to continuing to support clients through the opportunities and challenges they face. 

“The opportunity to work alongside such an experienced and well-respected team was incredibly appealing, and I'm excited to play a part in the continued success of the Nottingham office while building lasting relationships with clients and contacts.” 

Colin has taken an unconventional route into accountancy following a career in elite canoeing, during which he represented Great Britain before coaching Olympic and Paralympic teams.

At UHY, Colin will advise clients across a range of sectors through its accounting and business services offering.

Colin added: “I’m really enjoying the variety that this role offers. 

“Working with clients across different industries gives me the opportunity to build strong relationships and take a more personal approach to my work. 

“My background in coaching has also given me valuable experience in supporting and developing people, which I hope to bring to my role as a manager. 

“Looking ahead, I want to continue growing my portfolio across a range of sectors and broaden the support I can provide to clients, while playing my part in helping the accounting and business services team achieve its growth ambitions.” 

Jayne and Colin’s appointments follow UHY’s Nottingham, London and Brighton offices combining with Affinia earlier this year, creating a £160 million group with 1600 colleagues across 33 UK offices.

 Andrew Timms, managing partner at UHY Nottingham, added: “Jayne and Colin bring a wealth of experience and different perspectives to the team, which will add real value to the firm.
