BWB makes ‘natural next step’ with new office

An engineering and environmental consultancy is building on continued growth with a move to new offices in Leeds city centre.

BWB Consulting is relocating from Whitehall Waterfront to Suite 7C at West Village, on Wellington Street, providing a new base for its growing team.

The move follows expansion of BWB’s client base and project portfolio across the property, infrastructure and public sectors, while supporting further recruitment and collaboration.

Developed by Bruntwood SciTech, bosses say West Village provides collaborative meeting and breakout areas alongside a landscaped courtyard, wellness facilities, cycle storage and showers.

BWB’s Leeds team is involved in a number of major projects across the region, including the Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease at Seacroft Hospital, where it provided mechanical and electrical consultancy.

The company is also working on the Joseph Norton SEMH and New Woodley SEND schools, which will accommodate around 180 pupils with complex needs, as well as continuing to support the development of Wakefield Hub.

Its Leeds operation is led by directors Kim Carter and Kerry Spencer, who were promoted earlier this year.

Kim leads business development for the office alongside BWB’s strategic land market nationally, while Kerry oversees operational delivery and leads the consultancy’s education market.

Kim said: “There is a real sense of momentum around our Leeds office. 

“We have continued to grow our relationships across Yorkshire, expand the range of work we are delivering and create opportunities for different disciplines across BWB to work together for our clients.

“Moving to the West Village feels like a natural next step. 

“It gives us a fantastic base in the heart of Leeds from which we can continue building those relationships, welcoming clients and partners into the office and growing our presence across the region.

“Leeds and Yorkshire are hugely important markets for BWB, and there is a lot more we aspire to achieve here.”

Kerry added: “Our growth in Leeds has ultimately been driven by the strength of the team and the quality of the work they are delivering. 

“As the office has developed, we wanted a workspace that better reflects how we work today and gives us the flexibility to continue that progress.

“West Village provides an environment where our teams can collaborate more easily, where we can bring different disciplines together and where we can continue creating a great place for our people to work.

“It is an exciting move for the office, but it is also a reflection of everything the Leeds team has achieved to get us to this point.”

BWB operates from five offices across England, with further bases in Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and London, allowing its regional teams to draw on technical specialists from across the business.
