Women’s wellness clinic opens in Sunderland

A specialist women’s health and wellness clinic has opened in Sunderland, expanding access to reproductive reflexology and holistic therapies.

LK Therapy and Wellness has established a permanent base at the North East BIC after transforming a previously vacant office in its Riverview building.

Founded by clinical aromatherapist Lucy King in 2019, the business provides tailored reflexology, bespoke aromatherapy and specialist wellness treatments designed to support women at different stages of life.

Its services include reproductive and maternity reflexology, including support for women navigating fertility journeys or living with conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis.

Every treatment begins with an in-depth consultation covering lifestyle, stress, sleep and physical health, allowing sessions to be tailored to individual clients.

The clinic also offers signature treatments including the ‘Ultimate Reset’ and ‘Head in the Clouds’.

Overlooking the River Wear, the new base has been designed as a dedicated treatment environment where clients can switch off and focus on their wellbeing.

Lucy said: “I knew I wanted to create a safe space specifically for women to leave their daily pressures at the door. 

“Trying to balance work, children, healthy lifestyles, and hormonal changes is so tiring. I wanted to help rebalance them.

“When I did my reproductive reflexology training, I realised there aren’t many places in Sunderland offering it – so it’s a unique service for women here. 

“Every person that comes through the door has their own story, and I love how our therapies always find a way to help and support them. 

“I tailor each therapy around the individual with a real holistic approach.”

The clinic operates from Monday to Wednesday, with flexible evening appointments available.
