Dine Sheffield serves up ‘fresh culinary gems’
Food lovers are being offered the chance to sample flavours from around the world for as little as £5 as a popular citywide restaurant initiative returns.
Dine Sheffield will run from Monday, October 12 to Sunday, October 25, with participating venues offering specially created deals priced between £5 and £30.
The scheme, launched by Sheffield BID in 2017 and inspired by New York’s Restaurant Week, brings together restaurants, cafés, pubs, bars and street food traders across the city.
Diane Jarvis, chief executive of Sheffield BID, said: “Dine Sheffield is a superb way to boost our hospitality industry while also giving people the chance to try new restaurants without breaking the bank.
“We know the initiative has brought thousands of extra people into the city centre to sample fresh culinary gems, finding new favourites along the way.
“More than 30 venues are participating in Dine Sheffield this year, from independent hotspots to huge food brands and beyond.
“They represent more than a dozen different cuisines from around the world, with delicious dishes from Greece, Sri Lanka, India and the Caribbean plus many more available to sample.”
This year’s participants include OMOMO Korean Street Food & Bubble Tea on Division Street, which opened in 2026, and Arundel Street fine dining restaurant Silversmiths.
OMOMO is offering a £10 customisable lunchtime meal deal, allowing diners to choose a base such as a Korean spice bag or bibimbap bowl before adding their preferred topping.
Mark Coaker, operations manager at OMOMO, added: “By taking part in Dine Sheffield, we want to showcase what we can offer and give people an authentic experience in terms of Korean food.
“It's a great way for people to try new restaurants at a discount price and get out of their comfort zone.
“At OMOMO there’s a fun, happy environment, we’ve got exceptional service and offer a real taste of Korea in street food style.”
Scandinavian-inspired café HYGGE, which operates sites at Fitzalan Square, Pounds Park and Eyre Street, is also offering brunch and coffee for two.
Meanwhile, Birdhouse Tea Bar & Kitchen on Sidney Street has three offers, ranging from pancake stacks and £5 matcha drinks to a cookie sharing platter with tasting teas.
Pubs, street food operators, bars and Genting Casino are also participating.
