Accountant eyes 'real opportunity' after takeover
An accounting and advisory firm has expanded with a takeover.
BK Plus has bought Havard & Associates.
Bosses say the move for the Hornchurch-based accountancy practice will strengthen its presence in “markets of real opportunity” across East London and Essex.
Under the terms of the deal, Havard & Associates’ managing director Ian Havard, director Annette Havard and 16 staff will continue overseeing operations from the firm’s Havering borough base.
Shaun Knight, BK Plus chief executive, said: “Ian and Annette have built a well-run practice with a broad service offer and a stable and experienced team.
“That combination - good people, consistent delivery and genuine local knowledge - is exactly what we look for.
“East London and Essex are markets where we see real opportunity, and Havard & Associates gives us a strong and established presence in Hornchurch.”
Ian added: “We have spent years building a firm clients can depend on, and the priority in any decision like this is making sure that does not change.
“The team stays, the service stays and the way we work day-to-day stays the same.
“BK Plus gives us the ability to handle more when clients need it, whether that is more complex tax work, corporate finance or specialist advisory.”
The deal comes after BK Plus bought Kent-based chartered accountancy practice Aggarwal & Co to bolster South East operations.
