Contractor illuminated by culture hub work
A construction and civil engineering firm has lit up its order book with audio visual work.
Falcon Fox Developments has overseen the installation of LED screens and feature lighting at Sunderland’s Culture House.
Acting as CDM principal contractor, the business also supported the fit-out of media and podcasting rooms.
Culture House operates as the National Centre for Creative Smart Cities, and is additionally home to the City Library.
Ritchie Wharton, director at North East-based Falcon Fox Developments, which worked with tech firm Seeper on the project, said: “This project was a fascinating experience.
“While Culture House provides a range of amazing experiences, there can be no doubt the quality of the audio visual is crucial.
“We were honoured to act as principal contractor for the installation of the system.”
Richard Schofield, Sunderland City Council technical and operations manager, added: “Falcon Fox Developments played a key role in delivering the installations at Culture House.
“Through effective coordination with other fit-out works, it helped ensure these facilities were delivered successfully and opened to the public on programme.”
The work comes after Falcon Fox Developments was appointed principal contractor on the Vaux Housing development to oversee the creation of 93 homes.
