Fisher German strengthens planning team
Property consultancy Fisher German has promoted four members of its planning team amid growing demand for planning and infrastructure advice.
Jenny Occleshaw, who leads the firm’s infrastructure planning team, has been promoted to salaried partner, having joined Fisher German as a graduate in 2010.
She provides strategic planning advice and leads applications and consenting strategies for infrastructure and energy clients across the UK, covering sectors including water, gas, electricity, fibre and renewable energy.
Jenny said: “I am extremely pleased and proud to have been promoted to partner.
“It reflects both the opportunities Fisher German has given me and the hard work of the talented team I am fortunate to work alongside.
“Our work supports the UK’s evolving infrastructure needs.
“We lead planning applications and consenting strategies for a diverse portfolio of projects, from water, gas and electricity networks to fibre and renewable energy schemes.
“My ambition is to keep expanding and strengthening the team, building on the reputation we have established in the infrastructure and energy sectors, supporting major infrastructure projects and developing new client relationships across the UK.
“Fisher German has supported me at every stage, from joining as a graduate and completing my professional qualifications through to becoming partner.
“For anyone starting a career in planning, it is a business that invests in its people and offers excellent opportunities for professional development.”
Meanwhile, Andrew Johnson has been promoted to senior associate planner, while Ethan Glover and Jabu Phiri have both progressed to senior planner.
The quartet are among 50 colleagues promoted across Fisher German as the business continues to invest in developing its teams.
Managing partner Andrew Bridge, who first joined Fisher German as a graduate, added: “With the shifting needs of our clients thanks to government policy changes and evolving markets, it has been great to see so many of our colleagues step up to the challenge.
“We have always rewarded those at Fisher German who perform well, and it is heartening to be making 50 promotions as we head into the final quarter of the year.
“I’d like to congratulate all those who have been promoted - all are thoroughly deserving of their success.”
The promotions come as changes in government policy across areas including housebuilding, infrastructure and devolution contribute to increased demand for specialist planning advice.
Phil Winckles, partner and chair of Fisher German’s appointments committee, added: “It is always enjoyable seeing so many colleagues progress through the business.
“Everyone who moves up within Fisher German has earned the right to do so thanks to their hard work, consistently high performance, and desire to deliver for their clients and colleagues.
“These promotions highlight the fantastic work our people do every day, and I am incredibly proud to play just a small part in that process.”
