ELM Group expands board expertise

Surrey-based independent living communities manager ELM Group has strengthened its board with the appointment of Frida Norman, Reyaaz Jacobs and Colin Chapman.

Frida is a charity leader and organisational development specialist with extensive experience across the UK voluntary sector.

She is founder and director of Driving Change, a consultancy supporting charities and social organisations with strategy, culture and governance.

Frida said: “I am delighted to be joining the ELM group board at such an exciting stage in the organisation’s journey.

“ELM’s commitment to ethical practice, strong governance and delivering positive outcomes for its communities strongly resonates with my own values.

“I look forward to contributing my experience and supporting the organisation’s future ambitions.”

Reyaaz brings more than 25 years’ experience in risk and assurance, including almost 22 years at Deloitte, where he was a partner and led teams across technology risk, internal audit, data analytics and risk management.

Reyaaz added: “I am pleased to be joining the ELM Group and supporting the organisation as it continues to evolve and grow.

“My career has focused on helping organisations strengthen their governance, risk management and assurance frameworks.

“I look forward to bringing that experience to the board and contributing to ELM’s long-term success, while learning from fellow board members, ELM executives and the broader ELM team.”

Colin has a background spanning higher education, financial services and the civil service. He previously served as deputy dean at Aston Business School, overseeing academic portfolios, resources, performance management and strategic development.

Colin added: “I am delighted to be joining the ELM Group Board and contributing to an organisation with such a strong reputation and clear commitment to professionalism and ethical practice.

“Throughout my career I have worked in leadership, governance and financial management roles, and I look forward to supporting ELM Group as it continues to develop and deliver value for its customers and stakeholders.”

Their appointments add expertise across governance, organisational development, risk management, finance and strategic leadership as ELM Group continues to grow.

The organisation manages independent living communities and developments, with the expanded board supporting its long-term plans for customers, colleagues and other stakeholders.

Lorraine Collis, chief executive at ELM Group, added: “This announcement comes shortly after we said farewell to longstanding board member Pauline Jackson who represented our leaseholder community for four years.

“Looking ahead to the future, we’re delighted to welcome Frida, Reyaaz and Colin to the board.

“Together they bring an impressive breadth of experience spanning organisational development, governance, risk management and strategic leadership.

“As ELM Group continues to grow and evolve, having access to this level of expertise will be invaluable.

“Their insight and guidance will help support our long-term strategy, strengthen our governance framework and ensure we continue to deliver the high standards of service and professionalism that we are known for.”
