Pareto appoints chief operating officer
Manchester-based financial planning business Pareto Financial Planning has appointed Chris Fraser as chief operating officer to support its growth and transformation plans.
Chris joined Pareto in August and works across the wealth management division of K3 Advisory Group.
A qualified accountant and specialist in change management and operational resilience, he brings more than 20 years’ experience across finance, operations and business transformation in financial services.
His career includes roles with BDO, RBS and Worldpay, followed by seven years at Alter Domus in senior leadership positions spanning transformation, operations and investor services.
In his new role, Chris will help develop a scalable operating model to support organic growth, digital transformation and selected acquisitions.
His remit covers people, processes, technology, controls and governance, with a focus on maintaining regulatory standards and client outcomes as the business grows.
Chris’ previous experience includes establishing a global business service centre and leading the transformation of investor services across people, processes and technology.
He said: “Pareto and the wider wealth management division have strong foundations, an excellent reputation and a culture that combines a real focus on clients with commercial ambition.
“I was attracted by the opportunity to help develop the business through organic growth, technology and digital transformation, and carefully selected acquisitions.
“My focus is on building an operating platform that delivers excellent client outcomes, supports our people and maintains strong regulatory standards while enabling the business to grow efficiently.
“I also want us to be at the forefront of the industry in how we use technology and AI, building upon the qualities that have made Pareto, Luna and Organon successful.”
Paul Stones, managing director of Pareto Financial Planning, added: “Chris joins us at an important stage in Pareto’s development.
“His experience of building strong operational foundations, leading transformation and supporting businesses through significant growth will be invaluable as we continue to develop our proposition and grow our wider wealth management division.
“Just as importantly, Chris understands that sustainable growth depends on delivering positive outcomes for clients and creating the right environment for our people to succeed.
“We are delighted to welcome him to the team.”
