Flotilla Group names new chief executive

ESG technology and advisory specialist Flotilla Group, based in Harrogate, has appointed Jo Daley as chief executive as it prepares for its next phase of growth.

Jo brings more than 20 years’ international experience in sustainability and ESG leadership, having worked across multiple sectors and advised private equity firms and mid-market businesses.

She joins from global corporate finance advisory firm Clearwater, where she served as head of impact, supporting clients in aligning sustainability strategies with commercial performance.

Jo will maintain several existing client relationships, with Flotilla and Clearwater continuing to collaborate on services for their respective clients.

She said: “ESG has too often been treated as a set of labels to apply rather than levers to pull.

“The businesses that understand this are already having the greatest impact.

“Flotilla has combined market-leading ESG technology with commercially minded advisory services, and that means it is well positioned to help its clients build genuine resilience: stronger operations, stronger investment cases and stronger long-term growth.

“That is the work I have spent my career doing, and it is why I am joining Flotilla.

“This is a business built by people who understand that distinction, and I want us to keep attracting the kind of practitioners who do too, particularly for the private equity and mid-market businesses that are such an important engine of our economy.”

Jo’s appointment follows a series of new client wins and the expansion of Flotilla's AI technology solutions and sustainability team.

Founder John Rastrick will continue as executive chair, working alongside Jo on client relationships, product development and the group's future growth strategy.

The move comes as Flotilla looks to strengthen its position in the ESG technology and consultancy market, helping private markets firms, financial institutions and businesses turn sustainability initiatives into measurable commercial value.

John added: “When we set out to find the right person to lead Flotilla into its next chapter, we wanted someone who has genuinely lived the tension between doing ESG properly and doing it commercially.

“Jo has spent her career proving those two things are not in conflict.

“Her track record advising private equity and businesses across sectors speaks for itself, but what stood out most was her alignment with our view of how the industry is best served, combining smart technology, ESG consultancy and commercial strategic advice.

“As I move into the executive chair role, I could not be more confident in the partnership we will build together.

“Jo is someone who shares the conviction that got us here in the first place: that ESG, done well, is one of the most powerful levers a business has for building lasting value.

“I am really looking forward to working with Jo, continuing to support our existing and new clients, and developing our future growth strategy together.

“The wealth of experience she brings will help us enhance our offering and build an even greater impact from the premium data insights Flotilla’s proprietary AI technology has delivered to date.”
