S&W strengthens private client team
Accountancy and advisory firm S&W has strengthened its private client tax team with the appointment of Lucy Saunders as partner across its Guildford and London offices.
Lucy joins from BDO, where she served as a private client tax partner, bringing more than 20 years’ experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and internationally mobile clients.
Her expertise includes complex personal tax matters, supporting clients with their financial affairs and tax planning requirements.
The move marks a return to familiar territory for Lucy, who spent almost three years earlier in her career at Smith & Williamson, the heritage business on which S&W was founded.
In her new role, Lucy will support the continued development of S&W’s private client tax offering, working with individuals and families on their increasingly complex tax requirements.
She said: “I am delighted to be joining S&W at such an exciting stage in its growth journey.
“The firm has a clear vision, a strong reputation in the private client market and an ambitious strategy for the future.
“Returning to the business presents a fantastic opportunity to work with talented colleagues and help clients navigate an increasingly complex tax environment.
“I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of the private client tax services team.”
Chris Shepard, partner and head of private client tax services at S&W, added: “Lucy is an outstanding addition to our private client tax team.
“Her breadth of technical expertise, strong market reputation and extensive experience advising high net worth and internationally connected families make her exceptionally well placed to support our clients.
“As we continue to grow and invest in our private client capabilities, Lucy’s appointment further strengthens our ability to deliver the high-quality, personal advice that clients expect from S&W.
“We are particularly delighted to welcome Lucy back, having previously worked in our business.”
