Innes England appoints facilities chief
Midlands commercial property consultancy Innes England has strengthened its property and asset management team with the appointment of Mukesh Puri as head of facilities management.
Mukesh joins from Avison Young, where he was facilities lead at Birmingham’s Paradise development, overseeing the public realm, car park and One Centenary Way.
He brings extensive experience across the facilities management sector, including more than a decade working with managing agents and previous roles supporting property owners and occupiers.
His background includes bringing grade A office developments into management across the Midlands and South West, alongside overseeing building operations and retrofit projects.
In his new role, Mukesh will lead the development of Innes England’s facilities management function, strengthening its services across compliance, health and safety, contractor management and building operations.
Mukesh said: “What attracted me to this role was the opportunity to shape and develop the facilities delivery, building a team that can provide expert advice across all areas of facilities, from compliance through to operational matters.
“There’s also a real opportunity to help our clients make their properties more sustainable, which is an area where good facilities management can make a genuine difference.”
Mukesh’s appointment follows structural changes within the consultancy’s property and asset management department, establishing facilities management as a dedicated function alongside its surveying and property management services.
Innes England operates from offices in Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and Birmingham, providing commercial property advice across agency, investment, development, building consultancy and asset management.
Matt Howson, director and head of property and asset management, added: “Mukesh brings a wealth of experience across facilities and property management and has a strong track record in delivering complex operational and compliance strategies.
“His expertise will be invaluable to the department’s evolution and future direction as we further expand the team.
“We will continue to deliver exceptional service helping clients protect and enhance the value of their property assets while ensuring buildings remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.”
