Pest control firm grows with Ireland expansion
A pest control firm is hunting growth after completing a merger.
Contego Environmental Services has joined forces with Dublin-based Complete Pest Control.
Bosses say the move will introduce “Contego’s data-led approach and modern technology” to customers across Ireland.
Under the terms of the deal, Complete Pest Control has joined the Contego group, with founder and managing director Trevor Hayden becoming head of Ireland.
Based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, Contego works with clients including Sainsbury's and NHS trusts, combining field teams with digital monitoring and data capture to plan and oversee pest control activity.
Michael Taylor, Contego Environmental Services’ founder and chief executive, said: “Pest control is changing.
“Customers want to know now, and they want the data to prove their sites are protected.
“That is what we have built and, together with Complete Pest Control, we can give Irish businesses a more modern, data-led service.”
Trevor added: “Our customers have always valued a reliable local team.
“Joining Contego adds modern technology and clear reporting on top of that.”
