Builder plots 'lasting legacy' 141-home estate
A housebuilder has submitted 141-home plans.
Bargate hopes to create a Hampshire estate.
Bosses say the venture – planned for Hordle, between the Solent coast and New Forest National Park – would feature properties ranging from one-bed apartments to four-bed houses.
They add homes would include air source heat pumps, electric charging points and solar panels, with properties complemented by open spaces, allotments, woodland and walking and cycling paths.
The reserved matters blueprint – submitted to New Forest District Council – comes after Fair Oak-headquartered Bargate received hybrid planning consent last year to transform the 30-acre site.
Jonathan Quarrell, senior planning associate at Bargate – which last month submitted plans for a 62-home Hampshire Downs endeavour – said: “We’re pleased to submit our detailed plans for these 141 homes in Hordle.
“In addition to the range of apartments and houses, this development will also provide expansive public open space with a play area and allotments, leaving a lasting legacy for the whole community to enjoy.”
The development has been designed by Romsey-based Thrive Architects.
