Global engineering firm opens new Bristol office
A global engineering and design consultancy has opened a new office in Bristol.
Stantec has opened a new 17,000sq ft office at the Embarq building on Redcliff Quay, providing a harbourside workplace for more than 200 employees.
The opening marks more than two decades of the firm’s involvement in projects across the South West, spanning buildings, housing, transport, water and energy infrastructure.
Peaches Golding OBE, Lord Lieutenant of Bristol, officially opened the office on October 7.
She said: “It is fantastic to see companies like Stantec making long-term commitments to Bristol’s communities while supporting our strong ambitions around sustainability and inclusive growth through the vital work they do, and the vibrant culture-focused careers the company offers.”
The refurbished workspace features flexible meeting rooms, collaborative areas and quiet working spaces, with its design informed by employee feedback.
It becomes Stantec’s third Bristol location, alongside existing offices at Merchants Quay and Almondsbury.
Jo Ley, co-office lead, and graphic design associate, added: “From helping improve water infrastructure, delivering cleaner energy solutions, shaping new towns, enhancing transport networks, or designing more sustainable buildings, our work is ultimately about improving people’s lives.
“This new space will allow us to work together and grow to achieve these goals.”
Natasha Jones, co-office lead and Stantec’s UK director of landscape architecture, added: “This aspirational new space truly represents who we are as a business and what we believe great workplaces should be.
“Our offering, whether that’s providing dynamic job opportunities for people driven to achieve, or addressing some of our client’s most complex challenges, allows us to actively create a stronger tomorrow for our clients, communities, and future generations in Bristol and beyond.”
