HJCE strengthens engineering team
A Yorkshire engineering consultancy has strengthened its team with two appointments as it targets further growth in the telecommunications sector.
Wakefield-based HJ Consulting Engineers (HJCE) has welcomed Stuart Farrell as an associate in its structures team, alongside technical apprentice Jack Paddey.
Stuart brings more than 25 years’ experience in telecoms structural design and management, with expertise spanning wireless networks, network development and asset management.
He will work alongside the consultancy’s senior leadership team, including director Andy Jennings, to support its expansion into new markets across the UK.
Stuart’s appointment builds on HJCE’s existing work with telecommunications clients including WHP Telecoms, Circet and KTL.
Meanwhile, school leaver Jack joins as a technical apprentice, supporting the 26-strong team with technical tasks, data analysis and project management.
His recruitment forms part of the consultancy’s commitment to developing the next generation of engineering professionals.
The appointments come as HJCE targets revenues exceeding £3 million over the next 12 months, with further recruitment anticipated following a busy year for the business.
Andrew Fairburn, managing director, said: “Investing in new talent reflects strong demand for our specialist knowledge and forms part of a strategy to build a pipeline of skilled engineers at all levels.
“Our business is only as strong as our people, and we recognise the importance of securing talented people such as Stuart and Jack to deliver first-class client services.
“We are proud of the calibre of people who we attract and work for us, as we strive to deliver excellence and grow our national footprint.”
