BGF strengthens regional investment team

Growth capital investor BGF has strengthened its Yorkshire and North East team with the appointment of Rosie Ramsey as it continues to expand its regional investment activity.

Based at the firm’s Leeds office, Rosie will focus on identifying new investment opportunities and building relationships with founders and management teams across both regions.

She joins from Endless LLP, where she spent nearly four years as an investment manager, supporting investment into SME and mid-market businesses.

Rosie previously worked at Alembic Strategy, advising shareholders, entrepreneurs and boards on strategic change and transactions, having qualified as a chartered accountant at Price Bailey LLP.

She said: “I’m delighted to be joining BGF at such an exciting time, building on the many relationships that I have developed in the region over the last four years. 

“BGF's patient, minority approach provides a real point of difference in a market that is rich with ambitious and dynamic businesses. 

“I’m really looking forward to working alongside Chris and the wider team to identify and invest in local businesses, fulfilling our own ambition to deploy significant growth capital across Yorkshire and the North East in the coming years.”

Rosie’s appointment comes as BGF pursues plans to invest £400 million in businesses across Yorkshire and the North East over the next five years.

The commitment builds on more than £700 million already invested across the two regions since 2011, supported by BGF’s offices in Leeds and Newcastle.

Recent regional investments include specialist film, television and live events equipment provider Blitz Hire, with funding supporting its expansion into new markets and potential acquisitions.
