Burgess Hodgson makes landmark appointment
Accountancy and business advisory firm Burgess Hodgson has appointed Masum Ahmed as tax partner, marking its first externally recruited partner since the 1980s.
Masum joins with more than 25 years’ experience advising entrepreneurs, business owners and high-net-worth individuals on UK and international tax matters.
Throughout his career, he has worked closely with clients on a broad range of personal and commercial tax issues, from day-to-day planning to long-term financial structuring and complex business decisions.
He has also contributed to Tolley’s tax publications, bringing technical expertise and experience to the firm's advisory services.
In his new role, Masum will support Burgess Hodgson's growing client base, providing specialist advice to businesses and individuals navigating increasingly complex tax requirements.
His appointment represents a significant milestone for the firm, which has traditionally developed and promoted partners internally.
