Carpenter Box welcomes 20 recruits
A South East accountancy firm has strengthened its workforce with the recruitment of 20 new starters through its associate and student placement programmes.
Carpenter Box, part of the Sumer Group, has welcomed 18 associates and two placement year students across its offices in Worthing, Crawley, Brighton, Chichester, Lewes and Portsmouth.
The latest intake brings the firm’s associate community to 68, representing more than 22 per cent of its overall workforce.
The new associates will work towards a range of professional qualifications, with 11 studying for the ICAEW Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualification.
Three will follow the joint Association of Taxation Technicians and Chartered Tax Adviser (ATT/CTA) pathway, while another three will pursue Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualifications.
One further associate will study towards the joint ACA/CTA qualification.
Several of the new recruits previously attended Carpenter Box’s annual open evening, which introduces aspiring accountants to career opportunities within the firm.
The appointments form part of Carpenter Box’s continued investment in developing future accountancy professionals and strengthening its teams across the South East.
Director Andrew Le Fevre said: “We are so pleased to welcome each of our new associates and starters and look forward to helping them develop their knowledge, gain valuable experience and build successful careers in accountancy, audit and tax.
“We are strongly committed to finding and developing young talented people as they will be the leaders of the future.
“We wish them every success as they begin their journey with Carpenter Box.”
