Warehousing firm boxes clever with European tie-up

A warehousing and distribution firm says it has stacked up European growth potential after sealing an industry partnership.

TSP Fulfilment is working with the Republic of Ireland’s Eurobase.

The Gateshead-headquartered company says the move will bolster e-commerce clients’ expansion blueprints across the continent.

It adds the alliance – which will use Eurobase warehouses across the Irish Sea – gives the business a “significant footprint within the European Union” and provides “seamless capabilities on both sides of the Channel”.

Operating warehouses spanning more than 400,000sq ft across the North East of England, TSP Fulfilment provides direct-to-consumer e-commerce, B2B and Amazon fulfilment services for more than 100 brands.

Paul Griffiths, chief executive, said: “Partnering with Eurobase means customers can now ship stock directly from wherever it is made in the world and hold it ready for fulfilment within Europe.

“It means customers no longer have to deal with the daily, costly and bureaucratic challenge of post-Brexit regulations.”

Julie Colclough, Eurobase managing director, added: “Since the European Union removed its €150 duty-free threshold and introduced new handling fees, it’s become much harder for brands to predict landed costs with any confidence.

“Protecting margins and the customer experience in such a climate depends on having the right expertise on the ground in each market – which is exactly why this alliance works both ways.

“TSP Fulfilment’s knowledge of UK compliance will give European customers a secure route into the UK, just as our experience in Europe gives theirs.”
