Marketing trailblazer set to scale at pace as global platform goes from strength to strength

A pioneering North East businesswoman on a mission to modernise global marketing insists the decision to add key hires to her senior team will unlock a new era of growth.

Lisa Eaton launched marketing capability platform Fabric five years ago and the firm’s blue-chip clients already include NatWest Group, easyJet, Celonis and Lavazza.

Now, a new six-figure investment has opened the door for Fabric’s game-changing service to scale at pace — helping more businesses build high-performing marketing teams faster.

And Lisa has been quick to add proven talent to an evolving senior management team as she seeks to capitalise on the opportunity to help Fabric flourish.

“I’m excited to confirm that Simon Moyle has been appointed as Fabric’s new chairman and James Tilley has taken up a new role as Chief Commercial Officer,” explains the former Great British Entrepreneurs Awards finalist.

“Simon and James have a fantastic track record for helping businesses to scale and for supporting founders like me to keep moving forward.

“Fabric began as a 12-week marketing development programme but has evolved significantly over the last five years into a complete marketing capability platform.

“In 2026 we can help organisations continuously identify, build and measure the capability of their marketing teams — rather than simply relying on one-off training interventions.

“The first two years of Fabric were about building the platform, the methodology and the proposition.

“The last three have been about proving the model in market, working with enterprise customers, learning what drives real behaviour change and refining the proposition around marketing capability.

“More than £500,000 has already been invested into building Fabric. We now have the proposition, customer evidence and foundations in place to move into the next phase of the business.

“Our ambition is to become the world’s leading marketing capability platform for modern marketing teams.”

A network of more than 40 senior marketers and coaches with significant real-world experience complements Fabric’s six core pillars.

“We combine a 37-point capability and behavioural assessment with personalised development, strategy development, one-to-one coaching, expert masterclasses and group coaching,” adds Lisa.

“We’re continuing to evolve in order to meet the needs of modern marketing teams — our new Fabric Tracks provide continuous development around priority capability areas including AI For Modern Marketers and Personal Brand.”

Simon is a trusted staple of the start-up community and is an award-winning CEO, Chairman and Non‑Executive Director with a track record of scaling high‑growth organisations and leading complex transformations.

“When I first met Lisa at an Entrepreneurs Forum event, I saw so many opportunities and I wanted to do more than invest,” explains Simon, whose £150,000 is helping Fabric look to the future.

“What appealed to me, first of all, is that Lisa is an impressive business leader. She's got a very credible background with more than 25 years’ experience in the marketing space.”

James worked alongside Simon at Vivup (now Perkbox), where the two were instrumental in growing the leading UK employee benefits provider’s ARR from £8m to £80m within five years.

“Fabric is really well placed to make a significant impact on marketers,” he explains. “At a time where marketing is constantly changing that’s a huge asset.

“What attracted me to this role was Lisa’s passion and her expertise. Fabric is a tremendous proposition that’s unrivalled within the marketing sector.

“The personalised pathway for individuals delivers a real and lasting impact. I don't know of any other networks that exist that make coaching so affordable and have the level of experience that our coaches have.”

Simon’s investment will enable Fabric to: build a more scalable commercial and sales operation; expand its enterprise customer base; invest in future-proofing technology; further develop the marketing capability proposition; and support expansion into international markets.

“Fabric has spent five years building and proving a marketing capability platform with enterprise customers,” adds Lisa.

“We are now putting the investment, leadership team and commercial infrastructure around that platform to scale it.”
